Rachel Hatten, Ph.D, Host and Producer

Rachel Hatten is a former high school English teacher, literacy coach, equity coach, and district literacy leader. She has spent more than two decades working alongside educators to strengthen teaching and learning.

She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Critical Literacy and English Education, and an M.A. in Literacy Education, both from the University of Minnesota. Through Classroom Caffeine, Rachel brings researchers and educators together for engaging conversations that connect big ideas with the everyday realities of classrooms and schools.
